I've taken Omega 3's for at least 12 yrs for the anti inflammatory effects. I left Lessman's behinď when he decided to add "ahi flower". Didn't agree with me.

I moved to Sports Research, it's Amazon's top selling supplement brand. I currently use both their fish oil (pollack) and their Salmon oil. Good stack, clean, no fishy smell or taste. The capsules are large and I don't think the A accepts returns. Reasonably priced.

I'm also allergic to shellfish so krill/krill oil are out for me. I've never seen EVOO offered as an Omega 3😳

@Snowpuppy  EVOO, and even flaxseed oil, have only trace amounts of Omega 3s.  In addition, it's also about how the body processes them.

In fish oils, Omega 3s are not only abundant, but the nutrients are pre-formed, while already-low amounts of Omega 3s in plant oils have to be converted in the body, and that process renders an even lower amount of Omega 3s.

Just as with protein and iron, plant sources are far less bioavailable than animal sources.

The pain they have cost us, the evils that never happened.

@Jo1313

I am also allergic to shellfish and am wary of a few joint supplements that could be troublesome.

I take a Glucosomine/ MSM supp from Vitacost that is shellfish free, it states that right on the front label. Swanson also has one.
