@Tissyanne --I said that because that is what I've been told many times when I've needed to see a dr and can't get one for months. They always tell me to go to the ER if I need to. My ailments are not ER worthy--but if they were I would go.

Update----
My got great news for me and my back--took a few Xrays and there is/was no evidence of any type of injury at all!!! Very relieving. But he saw where the problem was and I knew about that ---happened when I was 30-- so 41 years ago. Plus being oldš«¤-- there is arthritis and a narrowing of the spongy stuff between the 2 vertabraes--and the hard step that I took, aggrevated it which in turn is affecting my lower back and hips. Told me I could go to my chiro and we decided that I will get a MRI just to see things better--- any pain relief hadn't been discussed as that is too soon---really liked the PA I saw--so I limped back to my chiro and he looked at the xrays too and adjusted me accordingly--today---well I feel sore and achy but that is normal for me. Am on tylenol with ibuprophen, heat and ice and moving a bit more. So happy I don't have to cook----good grief---š

@wagirl - that's good news. Unfortunately our bones don't always keep up with our mind and desire. I've been messing around with back discomfort for the past couple of years. My massage therapist says it could be arthritis. It wouldn't surprise me. I get monthly deep tissue massages with hot stones and cupping and see my chiropractor for an adjustment immediately following the massage while everything is loose. Yeah, I end up achy and don't do much the rest of that day but it gives me some relief for awhile.

@Still Raining --I'm sure p/t will be recommended--lordy-- I HATE p/t---been doing some form for years and it has helped. But am thinking this is a more organic thing---and am wondering if a PRP injection would work, that would come out of my wallet. All that is in the future of course, after the MRI--which I also HATE !!!

@wagirl So sorry you're going through this. No time is a good time, but this time of the year is especially hard. Will you be able to check out apartments?
I have had great success with my physical therapist. She has a doctorate from Cornell. She's very smart and dedicated to improving her patient's wellbeing.
I injured my back 3 years ago and then again a year and a half ago. PT has been great for my middle back area as well as my lower back. I think it depends on the PT as well as the doctor.
Wishing you good health. š

@nrm --Yes, we have to check out new apartments--today, Black Friday, my back is not too bad, still a little stiff but will manage better. No back flips or discus throwing tho. šLike I mentioned --p/t is a likely rec from my dr after the MRI and altho I do HATE p/t, I will go like a good little old lady!!!

@wagirl Good luck with the apartment hunting. I guess we all just have push on through and try not to let the back pain get the better of us.
Feel better š
