Glad you and wife doing well. I go for ferritin, Injectifer

infusions every 12 weeks or so. I’m lucky, very mild side effects, usually a headache. There is only a few minutes of prep and then 40-60 minutes of infusion. Mine is always done. In

2 doses, 2 weeks apart.

With my prior hematologist it was 5 weekly infusions

1 hr each time with Venifer.

Are’nt we blessed having modern medical technology.

Ive had 34 infusions and am still going strong 💪.

Best Of luck and health to you and your wife.

@hckynut  Enjoy your posts (whatever the subject), but this was especially enlightening to me. Perhaps I've missed other posts of yours on this topic in the past. Interesting. Yesterday was brutally hot; tomorrow's second for you should much cooler, which I would think is easier in itself.

Your infectious attitude is what I find most attractive about your posts! Stay healthy and active. Sounds like you and your wife have great relationships with your physicians if they trust her to care for their beloved animals!

Glad to know @hckynut you and your wife are doing well...iron must be the thing this week as my doctor instructed me to increase my dosage of iron due to unusually low levels. I have been anemic all of my life and never knew about iron infusions. Thanks for sharing!

@hckynut

Hi John! Been thinking about you and if you are okay.  I’m glad to hear that you are . . . Just getting tuned up again is all?!

As has already been said here, it’s quite amazing how you just keep it all in stride, both of you. Such a great example for all of us, especially wimpy me.

@hckynut - always enjoy your posts whether short or long. I did not realize infusions took so long. Glad you, Cindy & your furries are doing well.

BTW, you can start as many posts as you like, I always read them, lol.

@hckynut

You never ramble, you just say it like it is and leave nothing to question.

For all you go through you keep your spirit and accept life as it is without complaining.

It is always nice to hear about Cindy and the fur ones and to learn how the entire family is.

You have an amazing attitude and strength and it is a lesson for others and an encouragement.

I look for your post.

Re: Nothing Really

[ Edited ]

            Hi, John (@hckynut)!    Actually, when you decide to post here it's "something, really."😊   You come here with information;  or a carefully-thought-out viewpoint;  or a gracious and heartfelt gift of support or gratitude;  or an interesting, perhaps nostalgic, anecdote;  or a welcome and whimsical dash of humor.   You and Cindy, and your whole extended family, have been through a lot, always managing everything with optimistic wisdom, grace and grit, and I'm so very, very glad you're here with us.   Good wishes to you and the four-footed critters!    Stay cool, stay safe, stay well, my friend.❤️
