I joined the at-home program over the weekend but today is the first day I am tracking anything. I am so confused with this tracker app right now. Actually, IMO the on-line version leaves a lot to be desired as far as explaining how the program actually works. Maybe it's because I am used to attending a meeting that I am having a hard time with this.
Anyhow, I totally forgot that fruits are free along with most vegetables. I just ate a banana and typed that into my tracker app on my phone. After I did that I remembered that it should be free. Yet the app computed 1 point for my banana.
Are only certain fruits free?

Bananas are still 0 points. Its a good program and I like it. The website is very, vry difficult to navigate. There are alot of complaints about it. There's an app called Smart Score that is the same calculator that WW uses to calculate smart points. Its $1.99, but you need the nutritional information to calculate the points. There are no food lists.

Well thank goodness it's not just me and the app. LOL
Yesterday I got a real shocker as to the new points value of an occassional treat I used to have. Every once in awhile I would get a honey bran raisin muffin from Dunkin Donuts. They used to be 9 points way back when. I looked it up yesterday and it's now 18 points! That's more than half of my daily points allowance. No more muffins. ![]()

I know we are all in shock about the increase in points of goodies. It does make you think about what you put in your mouth. I was never very successful on P+ program. I losy quiete a bit of weight on Momentum, but for some reason the last program did not work for me. This hopefully will help me lose the last 20 pounds Ive been playing around with.

@Lipstickdiva : the #1 complaint about the new program is they did a HORRIBLE job with the online part of it; HORRIBLE. There is NO excuse for it and people are demanding refunds for the weeks/months that they have been unable to use it. It's STILL not working and the complaints are in the THOUSANDS.
Understand that if something is thought to be a treat (candy, cake, cookies, muffins, ets) they are going to be SUPER HIGH in points. Example: A 6 ounce cup of Nestle hot cocoa is 17 Smartpoints. A large Starbucks hot cocoa is just under 50 points.
When in doubt, do NOT eat it : (

I feel you are being punished for having a cookie over a chicken breast. The points for a sweet treat are ridiculously high. Several people in my meeting are not happy because all their foods are substantially higher. Sometimes you just got to have that cookie regardless. Even Greek yogurt which is supposed to be good for you doubled in point. So not worth it.

I just got a card in the mail to join for free. I've been thinking about it I do like the fact that I can eat regular food that doesn't come in a box. I want to check further online.

@Meowingkitty .. some greek yogurts are high in sugar and that's the reason for the doubled point value. I choose Dannon light and fit greek - just 2 pts per serving and it comes in tons of flavor varieties.
and, actually we're not being "punished" for having that cookie. If you want the cookie - have it; that's what your additional weekly points are for. However, WW is simply encouraging all of us to make healthier food choices and be aware of what we're eating.

I canceled my subscription today. Tracking with the new software is taking too much time and I can never find meals that I saved, even after watching the video. Also, I've tracked for a long time so I'm going to try it on my own.
I have Weight Watchers ice cream bars in the freezer that say 3 points on the box and are now 6 points. Clif bars used to be 7 points, now 9 points. I did very well with points plus and always assumed their point system had some basis. When they make a dramatic change like this, it makes me wonder what in the world they were basing things on with points plus. But I didn't mind taking time to lose the weight. I wasn't trying to lose it quickly. Maybe that's the difference.
Besides the tracker being so difficult to use, I don't understand the timing. Why would you introduce it at Thanksgiving when people are swamped? I had several days I didn't even try because I didn't have time to learn something new.

I am on it since the new program came out in the beginning of December. I eat a Banana daily and it is "zero" points. I am not sure what you are doing to make it 1. I go to meetings but use the app. I have no problems with it. I did upgrade my phone from an Iphone 4 to 6 S Plus because the iphone 4 was too old to run the app correctly.
