Hi @panda1234 ,
I'm really sorry that you're hurting.
As other have mentioned, it would help us to know how/where you're hurting, so we can try and help you.
There are different treatments to try for different types of pain, and different types of doctors who can help, too.
I've been to Pain Management before, and I also have Peripheral Neuropathy right now especially in my hands and my feet.
I take an anti-seizure drug for that, plus a couple of different over-the-counter supplements that can help with nerve pain.
I take a Magnesium supplement. I also try to be careful with the amount of Magnesium that I take and I also take some Magnesium Malate at night to help with Fibromyalgia. The other supplement that helps with Neuropathy is Alpha Lipoic Acid.
@Toppers3 @my pain is in one foot. I have a rare condition called MMN which stands for multi focal motor neuropathy, which mimics ALS. I take magnesium and gabapentin, but neither have helped so far. as far as your fibromyalgia have you ever heard of taking a low-dose of naltrexone which is in Narcan?
I take it...Low Dose Naltrexone. LDN
!it's of info online and on FB as to how to take it.
Have been taking it since 2018...

This is just my opinion from personal experience, Gabapentin is a garbage drug that doesn't work for nerve pain and don't let them fool you that it's not habit forming or addictive. If that were true it would be real easy to get off it.

I think the box says, not for back or shoulders.
@qvcaddition Yes, that's true. Mr doctor recommended it to me for hand and knee discomfort. Really does help!

update on the gabapentin: after three days of relief from the intense pain in my shoulder and arm, it stopped working for me. And the side effects are intolerable. Severe dizziness, nausea, blurred vision. Will report to my doctor. Next step will likely be an MRI to identify what's going on and proceed from there. That's a project in itself. Because of my pacemaker, I require clearance from my cardiologist. A tech from the pacemaker company has to be present to adjust my settings for the test. The imaging facility only does ppl with pacemakers on Wednesdays. But I digress. Those of you on this drug, have you experienced side effects?
