Be careful with grapefruit. It binds with an enzyme in the small intestine and that enzyme is what helps certain medications.

If a person is taking medication for high cholesterol it is advised to not consume grapefruit.

@LindaSal   Thank you...I have an issue with a shoulder and my husband has chronic hip pain/arthritis.  His doctor said he needs to wait 2 months for another shot...maybe the tumeric will help.

Some people I know add turmeric to their morning coffee.  I don't like coffee so I have no clue how that would taste.  I just want to throw that out there as an option.

@Forbidden Fruit

Oh, my! Turmeric in coffee just sounds horrible! I just put a little turmeric in a teaspoon, add a little olive oil, then swallow it down with a drink of water. Works for me!😊😊

Oh, I hear ya.. I don't know how they do it. They say they can't tell but I don't know if I believe them.  (LOL)  I take liquid turmeric with no issues.

Sorry but when I get a migraine I want my prescription drugs.  No flowery, green or yellow food is going to ease that firestorm in my head.

@beckyb1012  As a fellow life-long mirgraine sufferer, I whole heartedly agree.

So...   If you are in pain, eat a fruit salad?

Thanks to the posters who mentioned to be careful re: grapefruit and certain medications.

Check with the instructions/warnings that come with prescriptions.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).
