if the property is just in his name then that should be changed asap; as others have advised, see geriatric financial specialist or attorney and have them discuss your options with you; it is very unwise to be so far from medical facilities in his condition and this does indicate poor judgement; I would not wait on his children to help; you need to be assertive but loving and make certain you are both in the best possible place with the help and attention both of you may require in the future.
