Re: My decision about shoulder pain

[ Edited ]

@smoochy   I think you made a smart decision.  It's difficult to live with pain, but better than the surgeries to me!  However, I don't have any pain!  I can't relate!

You are not old, my dear!  Maybe older but still got a lot of years to go!

Know a great Doctor in Winter Haven but he's a Vascular Surgeon and general surgery!  Don't know if he could help you.  He usually gets already diagnosed patients that need surgery!

Look into some Natural herb remedies for pain.  You may just stumble on one that will eliminate your pain!  Take care!

Re: My decision about shoulder pain

Susan Louise, I totally agree with you! So much food causes inflammation and there's just a bunch of junk in a lot of food these days. I see older-like me people At the grocery store, filling their carts with cokes and other unhealthy food, and think well no wonder they look so unhealthy. I have had arthritis since I was 50 years old and have had neck surgery, Every type of injection they offer and not once has a doctor mentioned food as inflammatory. They just want to give you procedures in pills! Exercise and a healthy diet and supplements has greatly helped me

@Steffdoggy10 Yes, doctors give you procedures and pills because that is their skill. If one needs help with nutrition, seeing  a licensed dietician is the appropriate course. In any case, medical hucksters  need to be avoided and alleged "research" needs to be vetted for its credibility in lieu of settling for some sort of uninformed populist fad.

Re: My decision about shoulder pain

@smoochy,  I have not been following your shoulder situation and truthfully inadvertently opened this thread.

After reading your opening post, apologies if this has previously been recommended, have you seen a sports medicine specialist?

I don't know where you live but if it is anywhere near a major professional or NCAA sports team you can be sure there are extremely qualified sports medicine doctors in the area.

What is good for the goose today will also be good for the gander tomorrow.
