This happened to me a couple of months ago. I won't say don't worry because that isn't possible. I got the call that I had to have another mammogram and an ultrasound because they saw "something" on my screening mammogram. I had to wait 3 weeks and I chose not to tell anyone except my friend who is a physician. Call backs are not at all uncommon and they can be for many reasons. Generally it's not because they suspect cancer. I had a tiny cyst that didn't require treatment. My mom and my friend had calcium. A coworker went through this and they found nothing on the repeat mammogram. The people in mammography are not allowed to give patients their results even with a doctor reviewing the imaging. That's standard everywhere. In my case, a week after the ultrasound and repeat mammogram, my own doctor called with the results and a week later, I received the letter.
