My sister-in-law needs a lung transplant if her heart is strong enough. Is there anyone out there that has come thru this serious procedure?

Wonder if your sister got the transplant?  My husband just evaluated and we are waiting to see if he makes the list.

I know a man in his 40's who just had his second double lung transplant 6 weeks ago, and is home and doing very well.

He did well initially with his first set of lungs, but problems cropped up within six months after the transplant.   He went back on the transplant list within a year, and wore a mask and needed oxygen full time until this recent transplant.

I just saw my friend and his family this week in their home.  He is thinner than I've ever seen him, but looks good, and seems to be doing as well as his doctors could even hope.   It is good to see him moving around his house without his mask and oxygen tank.   We continue to pray for him and his family.
