I thought he was finally going to do a presentation on Berberine but he barely touched on it. I really don't understand why he is avoiding doing one. He is usually excited to share lots of info on new products.

@willdob3, I was really annoyed about that. I called Procaps and complained... twice. Smiley Wink

With regard to blood sugar benefits, Andrew basically said that his cinnamon product was the best way to go and that we should google berberine to see how that helped as well.

I told the reps that a number of folks were not going to purchase it until Andrew actually talked about it.

I'm glad you called. I am sure Andrew will get the message. Procaps has excellent CS.

I tried his cinnamon a couple times & did not notice anything different. The only reason I can think for Andrew to hold back on discussing Berberine in detail is that it is a bit controversial & big pharma is against it, or anything that is not a patented drug. But those reasons are usually ones that seem to motivate Andrew to speak out. lol...

I'm interested in supplements that will aid in health & help me to maintain at a healthy weight and fitness level. As difficult as it can be to lose a boatload of fat, it is going to be much more difficult to maintain. The bodies of previously obese people are physiologically different (genetically, chemically, biologically, whatever) in that they will always try to regain that weight. It is why most people regain weight.

@willdob3, I gave the cinnamon to a good friend of mine who is a diabetic and he's really pleased with the results. lol, that even surprised me. Smiley Happy

Maybe we should call Procaps and offer our phone numbers, asking that Andrew give us a call back to discuss Berberine. lol...

Berberine also has a few side effects & I wonder if this product addresses them. Most notably to me is that it can cause a decrease in lean body mass. I seem to recall reading supplementation of a specific amino acid would safeguard against that. I should look to see if Andrew added that to his Berberine...

@willdob3, I think you're on to something here. Smiley Happy

I say that a few weeks before his October visits, we each call Procaps and tell them that we want Andrew to present the berberine. lol, it just might work Smiley Wink

That sounds like a good plan! We need to remember to do that.

The Berberine has no added amino acids, just Vitamin C & Magnesium Oxide. Really would like to hear him address my concerns on this.

@VaBelle35, YAY!!! Smiley Happy

I decided to pass on them for now, so I'll be looking forward to hearing how they work for you.

Andrew mentioned that he's been using two a day (instead of the suggested single capsule). It sounds as though Andrew and Muriel really like them. Smiley Happy

@bebe777  They live in the dessert, so I can imagine they would double up on this.  I was thinking of doubling up in winter.

re berberine

I wonder if he doesn't have a large quantity so he is slow rolling it.

It is quite odd.

I have never understood his choice for magnesium either.

I would love to see Andrew come out with a line of liquid ionic minerals. It really seems like something he would want to do. High quality, no fillers, in the form our bodies need & absorbed right away, not needing to go through the digestive system. And no negative side effects.

@VaBelle35, with all the forced heat in homes in the winter, I think that's a great idea.

For various reasons (my crazy schedule), I still haven't started taking the Marine Collagen Peptides that I purchased last fall. I sweat profusely in the spring/summer (2-3 times the average) and so my skin is very plump during this period. -- I'm going to wait until the end of October before I start taking them becasue I want to be able to get a good visual handle of how they are working for my body. I'm sure they'll work well but since the forced heat tends to dry my skin out a bit, I'll get a better sense of how the MCP is working then.

This will also give me a better sense as to whether to take one scoop or two scoops daily. lol, and after that I'll probably give the PhytoCeramides a spin. Smiley Wink
