@tends2dogs - have you considered taking an oral hyaluronic acid supplement?

I use Thera Tears or Systane. Both work really well for me and I have very dry eyes from working on a computer all day.

@JeanLouiseFinch No, but I would consider it. Do you have one that you recommend?

@tends2dogs - This is the one I've been taking for quite some time, a little over three years. The brand is Ultra High Purity and the serving is 2 little capsules.

Omega-3 fats are beneficial for dry eyes.

@JeanLouiseFinch I just added this to my Amazon cart. I bought the large size so DH can try it too. He has dry mouth so it is worth a try. Does this cause upset stomach if you take it on an empty stomach?
@SilleeMee DH and I both take omega 3 and have for years. His transplant doctor recommended it for his eyes.
OT congratulations on you bone scan results. I am so happy for you!

I don't get any stomach upset, @tends2dogs. I take it with food, as instructed on the label.

Thank you @tends2dogs .
I, as well, take a HA supp. Mine is in a loose powder form and I add it to my yogurt or oatmeal otherwise it's difficult to dissolve in a beverage unless it's boiling hot. I save a lot of money when I buy loose powder supps but sometimes I have to buy pills or caps just to be able to get them down.

I began using Xiidra (sp?) RX for dry eyes a few weeks ago. My eye doctor gave me samples to try and so far, so good. There is an adjustment period. Now we are waiting to get the insurance to approve the cost - over $2,000 for 90 days.
Anyway, she said I can use OTC drops in between using the RX. She recommended Systane last year. It was so so.
Any suggestions?
@tends2dogs My eye Dr. takes my blood and makes me a eye drop for dry eye. You use it twice a day till it is gone. I have done this twice and have had great results. It lasts about a year sometimes longer.
