Has anyone trried Ketamine for major depression?  thanks

Hi @gellen have you tried other medications?  In today's post you wrote you have been suffering from depression for four months.  You need to give medications time to work, or of course, follow your doctor's advise.  Ketamine treatment looks like a last resort, for those who are suicdal.  That doesn't sound like you, who has a job!  There are many medicines for depression.  Give them and your doctor's advice a chance.

www.nih.gove website ketamine relieves symptoms of depression - Apr 30, 2019  article

FDA approved  a form of the drug ketamine  to treat depression earlier in 2019  per this  National Institutes of Health article.

Research articles available on PubMed  or NCBI

Also

WebMD has info that it is being used   experimentally to treat severe  Depression

Per WEBMED  -  Krystal MD Chief of Psychiatry Yale New Haven Hopsital  is doing research. Apparently   Dr Thomas Insel , Director of the National Institues  Mental Health  agrees that recent data suggests that Ketamine   " given IV , might be the most important  breakthrough in antidepressant treatment in decades".
