These types of gastrointestinal bugs are always out there, and ramp up even more once school starts.  

 

The last time I thought I had a gastrointestinal virus, it lasted beyond 48 hours, and was actually food poisoning.   I missed a week of work, wound up in ER dehydrated, and had to have a colonoscopy due to passing blood.   

 

On another note, I had my routine medical checkup today, and my doctor is already giving flu shots.   I passed on the opportunity today, and will take mine in October as usual.   My doctor said a positive case of influenza was diagnosed in our local ER yesterday.
