We watched that too nomless...after my HW's show. I saw one of the HW's and her husband at the Expo in DC Sunday morning.

Hi morganjen! Which Nautilus do you like or do you mix it up?

Well, I'm not feeling so cocky-locky this morning...haha!! I.am.sore. One thing I do like about this is, you wake up sore in muscles you didn't even know you had. I liked that about CrossFit too, you don't even realize you're working them.

My forearms are sore, armpits, back muscles, front of my shins, bends in my elbows, etc.

Wanted to head to the trails this morning but not doing that in the rain. Plan B or C.

Oh! I didn't tell you the best part about my work-out experience yesterday...gee, I wonder why I left this out. We were doing a segment on the rowers where you rowed "all-out" for 60 seconds then you stopped and did bicep curls with the handles for 60 seconds, back and forth row/curls.

As he was showing us how to do it, he said, "You flex the handles up to your nose" and I said, "I'll have to be careful or I'll slam the handle into my nose." What do I do on the very first rep...yep, right into my nose. Even after thinking about it and knowing I need to be careful!!! The girl to the left of me laughed out loud...aye dios. {#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}

My gf and her husband are coming to stay with us this weekend. I don't think I'll have time to take her to a class. She's a runner so I think she would really like the treadmill segments.

In December I mentioned that I was stupid enough to do the Insanity 60 day Challenge again and had it scheduled right through the holidays. Well, I did actually finish my 2nd time through Insanity on January 3rd. Yep... did that craziness through the entire holiday season and only missed 2 days. No way was I working out Christmas Eve or New Year's Eve...although the DH did point out how "crazy" I was for working out Christmas Day evening and the same on New Year's Day.

A bit disappointing that there was no weight loss, but I maintained through the holidays!

Anyhow, the rest of this month I'm taking it "easy"...I'm rotating Tae Bo, month 1 Insanity, and Hip Hop Abs with some ground work and light weights thrown in.

Starting February 3rd I plan to do a double up T25 (25 minutes feels like cheating to me {#emotions_dlg.biggrin}) so I'll be doing 2 workouts per day. Plan to do the Alpha, Beta, and Gamma programs.

Until then I'm enjoying my "phase down" month...but still doing 45-60 minutes 5-6 days a week.

Dh and I have been on a big sweet potato kick lately. I have just been cutting them up and cooking them with some olive oil and water, and onions and pepper. They are so good for you and cooked up with the onion really gives them a good flavor. This article tells you what they do for your body and how good they are for you.

If you're interested, of course...lol.

ETA: Hi kj! Glad you maintained over the holidays. We do an Insanity tape here and there. I'm not one to follow any program, have to keep it fresh and mixed up, but I do like that work-out.

Hi patty...

My DH is a lot like you...needs to mix it up often to stay interested. Although he's the one who bought T25 and he claims he will get through at a minimum the Alpha set the whole way through. I have my doubts since he gave up on Insanity after 5 days...

I like things scheduled, structured, consistent. I just want to look at that spreadsheet and see what I have to do next (not just with exercise). I know... pathetic! {#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

Although the Alpha, Beta and Gamma of T25 is a long program...14 weeks! We'll see how that goes once I get into it.

Morning, very dark and gloomy here....Made my Tuesday trip to town to get groceries and go to the Chiropractor. He kind of took the wind out of my sail. He is going through Chemo and he is so so thin now...he said he feels pretty good other than tired the week after but he is having chemo every other week and isn't done until May 5th. He is also coming off a divorce so he opens up to me sometimes about that and told me some things today that had me in tears...he has found is Lord and Savior again and I think it is helping him to get through these tough times...just puts things in perspective.

I haven't done a darn thing today...other than that....I admit it....boooo to me!

Glad to see some new followers here too..I love reading what types of workouts other do and their likes and dislikes..it's motivating.

Pppmint thanks for the links...I bought potato's today but not sweet potato's. DH won't eat them. I told him they are so good for you..we have to try it again..I saw something where you slice the potato very thin but not all the way through, fan it out and drizzle olive oil, butter and sea salt over it and bake for about 40 minutes...supposed to be very good...I am willing to try but he said he doesn't like them. I wonder if you have to get used to them.

Supposed to get more snow tonight through Thursday. Right now I wouldn't mind, as it would brighten up things.

Have a good day everyone!

Tony, LOL about Jillian and her arm circles. All in all, I like BR. It's a challenge, and I can see my progress as I work my way through it.

Patty, LOL about your hitting yourself in the nose. Be careful, LOL.

Hi, KJ and Hilde.

Sweet potatoes...another thing I want to like, but I don't really. The other bigge is acorn or butternut squash. All of these look so good, but I don't like them. I keep trying different ways of cooking them, different recipes, but I haven't found one I love yet.

Bopper, the recipe you're describing is hasselback potatoes. They get a bit crispy.

Weights tonight when I get home, then BL.
