I've had cold symptoms for several. Runny nose, cough, achy feeling, sore throat. I also am fully vaccinated and boosted. I wear masks in crowded environments. I didn't think about Covid until 4am this morning. My eyes popped open and I thought Covid test! I took it and it was negative. I'm not sick enough for it to be the flu. It's just the common cold.

@jackthebear - you know you can get it more than once, right?

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

@jackthebear  I was about to say the same thing.  Just in this thread someone mentioned that her neighbors had it four times.  And each time you get it could be different in terms of how severe.  So please don't take any chances just because you've had it.

I get it!  I never stopped masking --- even though I am so tired of it!  I never, ever dreamed this stupid disease would be going on all these years later.  Sounds like you are doing absolutely everything and then some to try and stay well.  I rarely go any place either -- mostly just necessity places. I also know of someone who is very careful and also wears a mask all the time and takes other precautions and she got that RSV thing and got terribly, terribly sick.  I look at it this way --- at least we are trying to do all that we know to do.

It's just a virus. Why is everyone so determined to put a label on everything nowadays?! This too shall pass. Woman Frustrated

@ID2   JUST a virus until it kills you or someone you love.

The government doesn't seem to take this very seriously, so not sure what to think. Can't say anymore or this thread will be deleted.

@AngelPuppy1 This stupid disease will be going to be with us forever!...just like we have the flu each year we will now have Covid too.  The Spanish flu is still with us but in a much milder form.

Many feel better about being boosted & masked.  I try to live my life normally and go out often.  However I take certain supplements religiously and so far (knock on wood) I have not gotten a virus of any kind since Dec. of 2019.

I think lifestyle can make a big difference on how badly one gets sick from any virus.

If a person is younger and in good health, that makes a big difference!  If you're older and have a lot of other health issues, these things can be a lot more serious and you think twice about exposing yourself more in, sometimes and often needless, situations.  For instance --- would I go to a packed stadium?  No.  Do I go to things I need to go to and have to go to?  Yes.  But I still use a mask and I still use caution and good sense.

Everyone will get it at some point.  You have done everything you felt necessary which is all any of us can do.
