Re: 🦷 IMPLANT SURGERY 🦷

@cheriere I agree with you about insurance!

Be sure to take Acidophilues pills or you'll likely get a yeast infection from antibiotics.

That's something I'm gonna have to make sure she sends in for me too.  I just came off a round of antibiotics and took my last Diflucan.  Thanks for the reminder.❤️

I need to make a list of everything I want to talk about before I call them.

As posters have noted, it is not painful.  The sounds are scary but no pain.

If you have a heart condition, your dentist should know about it and you should take an antibiotic first....this prevents any infection from attacking the heart muscle.

Wouls also suggest you take aspirin before hand:  it is better to get ahead of any post procedure ache rather than chase it to take it down a notch.

Good Luck !

You're gonna love your new smile! Woman Very Happy

Take extra special care with the new implants and you shouldn't have any problems with them. Keep them really clean especially around the gum line. Most implant failures happens b/c of improper cleaning and oral hygiene.

That's for sure!  I've essentially wiped out a savings account for just this work.  The surgeon required payment in full this past Monday.  The regular dentist was paid for the temporaries on Tuesday.  Plus, in six months I'll have to make my final payment on the permanent teeth.😩

Your post made me feel a little better regarding the pain.❤️

That's really weighed heavy on my mind.  She sent some antibiotics in for me to begin taking Monday.  I wasn't sure if I should take aspirin or not since she'll be removing some teeth.

Cleaning them is something I've been wondering about too.  I'm a WaterPik fanatic and always brush my teeth after eating, although you'd think not since I'm having all this work done lol.  😃❤️

Why not check to be sure.  Getting a head of any ache before hand should be their concern as well as yours.

You're right.  I need to call anyways.

I see my regular family Dr in the morning too.  I'd planned on going over some of this with her as well.❤️

@cheriere  Aspirin and NSAID's increase the risk of bleeding and slow wound clotting. Usually before any surgeries we're told to avoid. So be sure to check for what they recommend for pre surgery pain prevention. They might suggest Tylenol, instead, but check with them. The meds they give you for the procedure will linger with you for a bit, anyway.

It's so much to go though, emotionally, financially and it takes time for the final results. But, keep reminding yourself of the beautiful smile you will have not to long from now. Everyone hates the cost factor, but I've never spoken with anyone who didn't say it was the best thing they ever did for their health, their life and that they'd do it again in a heartbeat.

You'll be in my thoughts for a very successful surgery. You've got this. You're preparing well and should be ready for it. Hugs.
