Punks in my ""wonderful"" city will attack and rob you if you are using a cellphone out in public. Even the buses have a recorded message warning riders to be alert and not use cellphones while on the buses.. LEAVE IT HOME. It is not worth risking it.

I wouldn't consider walking with or without a phone in such an unsafe city. We live in a little town of 4,000 people. I'm not scared to walk anywhere here.

I'd go to the gym or exercise inside my home.

I walk everyday and need my phone, in case children need me; but mainly because I listen to Dave Ramsey on the internet. I have to get my motivation to stop spending. It is working. My solution, I only wear shorts with pockets.

I have a small Columbia bag with an adjustable strap that I wear cross-body in the summer. Try Columbia, Keen, Kavu - they all have light-weight sport-type bags that are perfect for summer.

To each their own. My phone serves several purposes, and I think it's well worth the price.

I saw a woman carrying a huge phone on her hip and I laughed so hard.It looked so bulky. I think I would cross body or belt bag it.

A flat waist/(fanny, or whatever) pack is the best. Cross body might be irritating. There are some very nice leather and nylon ones available online. Some of my friends wear them around just about everywhere. (And they are very-style conscious, 'uppity' types....)
