I leave it at home. Peace and quiet ... no phone.

When I take the dogs for a walk, I bring a plastic grocery sack that contains other grocery sacks and paper towels (to clean up after my dogs if they need to go -- multiple sacks because - well, you know). I place my phone in there and the sack goes around my wrist. I don't look at my phone while walking. I just like to have it with me in case of an accident.

Remember the days when you could leave the house and not have a panic attack because you forgot the stupid phone?
Safety people, safety.
Such as texting and walking into a telephone pole?
Such as calling for help if you fall, or your heart starts acting up, or you feel faint. Geesh, you can carry a phone and not answer it.
Fitbit can track steps, it can't call for help.

The smaller one was $19.99 with free shipping from their website. I wear it around my waist under my shirt. It holds my iPhone, car keys and a whistle to scare the bears!
I have the same as you Blubird. I got one for my husband when he's out walking or biking and just last week I ordered 2 more from the Spibelt website. I got two of the larger pockets. I like how they stay close to the body but still hold my phone, some money and a key or two.

I don't agree with leaving phone at home. Need it in case of trouble. I do agree with spibelt!

I like the Spibelt. It should hold that phone and it's very easy to use. Before that, I had a small nylon waist bag that held my phone, ID, insurance card, house key, and asthma inhaler.
Even if I managed to leave my phone with only a house key, I can't imagine leaving without identification. If I fall down a ditch or get hit by a car or anything else happens, I don't want to wind up a Jane Doe in the hospital or the morgue.

If your health is that iffy, perhaps you should get a treadmill and stay home.

Don't be silly. Anyone can have an accident no matter what health! Also, What if you see someone else that needs help?

I hope you carry some ID on you. People do have accidents, get hit by accident, etc. You should have an emergency # to call too, should you have any head injury and get knocked unconscious. I'm the worrier type, so I'm just thinking out loud here.

I carry a cross body bag, though it looks more like a small fanny pack shape on a long strap but it's worn across the body, front or back. I carry a small water bottle and my phone. I don't talk and walk or text and walk but I figure you never know what might happen so the phone is for safety. I'm really not a paranoid person but I figure what if I need to call the police for whatever reason or if I fell down somehow.
Plus I use a tracker app on my phone for distance/time when running or walking.
Plus, I carry my keys too!
