Just one, B12.

If one eats correctly, you don't need all the pills/potions.
All those vitamin pills are really hard on your body.

Only B12, D, and magnesium, based on lab results.

I eat a healthy and balanced diet. But unfortunately I have mild malabsorption because of an autoimmune disease. So my doctor recommended the two vitamins.  I take some other dietary supplements which help me maintain my weight as well as help maintain normal blood chemistry. Supplementation is not an option for me. I need it to stay healthy and I don't expect any vitamin or supp to prolong my life...just help put quality back in to my life.Woman Happy

@SilleeMeeYou figured out what helps you in your special situation!  That's awesome and I believe that is the best way to approach taking any vitamins or supplements.  Plus lab work too...if one sees they are low on say Vit D then taking D3 to bring it to optimal levels is truly beneficial for us as the science behind that is very sound.

For myself I have taken many different ones over the yrs trying to figure out what was helping me.  Lot's didn't do anything that I noticed for my health issues.

I have tapered it WAY down...right now I am taking CoQ10....Fish Oil/Omega 3's....K2....Calicum +D3...bamboo silica supplement (bones) and I have a bottle with some Ultimate Eye Support (AI) to use up.  I may keep taking this one or his other one for the eyes.

Just like beauty products or body washes/lotions I purchased too many in the last few yrs and I am just trying to use up my entire supply and then only stick with the basics from then on.

I take more than you would ever believe.  Have for 25 years....I worked in the supplement  industry for many many years....I know what to take. I stay up on all the latest info.  Al's are way too pricey....you can do much better for the same thing if you know your products and potencies and find better deals.

I take Cooper Complete Fish Oil with Omega3, B12, C, Tumeric, and a Cooper Complete multivitamin. I drink a small glass of pomegranate juice every morning mixed with some elderberry extract. This has worked well for me and I feel good, bloodwork is good. I am primary caregiver for my 93 year old mother with dementia, so the stress and sleep interruptions can be damaging if proper nutrition isn't maintained. The supplements provide a little extra foundation for me during this rather unstable time.

@Pecky I take certain vitamins at the direction of my oncologist. Don't care to share info as each person's needs are different.

I would never take any supplements without the advice of my PCP and oncologist. Never.

I think sometimes people are too quick to start taking vitamins without getting blood work done or consulting with their doctor.

Me, too, @SeaMaiden!

I've been taking vitamins/supplements over 40 years. I figure either the doctors are going to get your $$, or you can spend a little and get the proper nourishment.

So, with trying to eat & drink (and having other lifestyle) as healthy as possible...I take supplements for general health, mobility, memory & antioxy protection.

Was it Nature's Code that Q used to sell? Anyway, those are the ones that made me tired. And I agree that AL is too expensive.

Yes, I agree and that's why I don't take a multivitamin any more. My doctors have also said I don't need all the things that come inside them. So I quit the multi and now I eat a grain called amaranth. I've read quite a bit about that grain (it's actually a tiny seed) which is packed full of many of the vitamins and minerals your body will ever need.

A long list for me too, too many to mention. One that I would not be without is Puritans Pride Cholestwise, much more comprehensive formula than Lessman, been taking it for 15 years, no statins or Red Yeast Rice.

The ancient grain!  Amaranth, farro, freekeh..so many to choose from!

People proudly say they eat well...but they take a handful of

supplements.  Wonder why?
