Home Leg Compression Machine Recs., Please

By chance, does anyone here have experience and recommendations for an at-home leg compression machine?   I'm in the market for one specifically for wide calves.  I don't see myself using it more than a few months so I'd like to keep the price reasonable, but I don't want a throw away item either.  TIA

@JeanLouiseFinch  You should be able to get them at a medical supply store. You may need a doctor's order, though.

Thanks, @YorkieonmyPillow - yes, I thought about that.  I'm still trying to get all of my ducks in a row and not certain if this is appartus that gets purchased or if it's a rental type thing through a medical supply place.  I've been in touch with the insurance company and they're emailing coverage info on it.  I imagine if it's ordered by my doctor, it would be covered.  If not, it's out of pocket, which is why I'm shopping.

I  do know two people who used them, one started recently after some surgery but their doctors prescrobed them and they went to a medical supply store to purchase them.  They weren't on their own, self prescribing.

@chrystaltree- I'm seeing my PCP next week for my surgery clearance so I plan on talking to him about this.  Hopefully he'll see things my way.  I currently wear compression knee highs but with the surgery I'm having I won't be able to bend or twist my head.  Compression socks don't slide on like regular sock, it's systematic and even then a bit of a struggle.  IMO, one of these machines will benefit me in two way, helping to prevent an blood clots and keeping swelling at bay.  Keeping my fingers crossed.

@JeanLouiseFinch,there is a sock assistant you can get too, to help you get sox on.  Those sox are hard to move up the leg and over the foot some times.I think it's made of a hard plastic.  I think someone on here posted a picture of those,  not that long ago.  Maybe they'll see this and post it for you.

Thanks, @qualitygal, but I don't think a sock assistant would work.  Those gadgets, I believe, are made to be used with everyday type socks.  With compression socks, it takes a lot of work to get them positioned correctly and pulled up.  I won't be able to have any kind of bending of my head or strain/tension in my neck.  Unless someone has dealt with this pain/issue, they don't realize exactly how much the neck is involved in all the movement one does.
