Mine was 7 and went to 10....after my cholesterol went down 40 points!

Doctor says take turmeric, fish oil, folio acid and vitamin C. Does anyone else have this problem? It is an inflammation marker...I exercise too ..TIA

My CRP tests show a range from 0.0 to 3.0. Yours was 7? That's off the chart, but perhaps your lab uses a different norm.

Eliminating any inflammatory foods might help. For me, it was dairy and wheat, corn and canola oils.

If you go with fish oil, I'd be very careful as to which one you choose. Andrew Lessman has a very good one, get it when he visits (this weekend!) when everything is discounted and shipping is FREE. He's got a good amount of DHA in them there gels. - Bird

I agree about the inflammatory foods. You can look online & find a lot of info. There are good books about it. Hope you have success Westie!! (:

Just had my crp tested and came back with a 3.0 so I'm in the normal range but its still inflammation that I want to get rid of. I go to a naturopathic oncologist and am taking fish oil with high epa/dpa at least 1000 mg a day and also drinking 6 cups of green tea every day, turmeric 1 gram a day and vit D 4,000 mg a day as per her advice. My cholesterol numbers also went down. I don't eat any dairy, am trying to stop with the bad carbs and increasing my veggies. Eat little meat and trying to get into an exercise program. Had breast cancer in 2012 so these things are very important for me. I also have high cholesterol issues and take niaspan for that.

my hdl was 71 which was great....my ldl almost normal....except for high CRP.

He said it can be from teeth or bad back issues too.(arthritis inflammation)

I had early state ovarian in 2011.......way to go wagirl you are doing great.

eattodefeatcancer is a good site. I used a vitamix to get all the good stuff.

Eat flax, chia seed, pea protein. I will use some of your suggestions thanks so much!

I am very conscious of inflammation. I have OA. A good product is Zyflamad by New Chapter.

Yes I was looking at that one...I like New Chapter. Has it dropped your numbers? I will give it a try! Thanks so much.

I just got my labs back today and my crp came back as over 15. Last year it was over 15 also. For me that's become normal. In years past they gave an actual number -- one year it was 32 another year it was 26. The lowest I think it's ever come back is 11. My cholesterol #s are all really very good. My doctor has run other tests and consulted with a cardiologist and they're stumped as to what's causing the results.

thanks for this information....I am wondering if it is stress related at all. I am going to another Dr. on Monday and will tell you all any information I get.

Thanks and keep the information coming.

If you have been to a cardiologist then it must be something else. My Dr. thought it runs in families but is doing some research on it.
