Re: Help - Need Arthritis Cream/OTC Med

See if you can find a cream that has arnica in it. There are sprays and creams all over. It takes a few days to set in, but works well once it does. It's all natural, non narcotic, no side effects.

I may try Aspercreme too, but does it stink? I'm taking a trip to WalGreen's tomorrow with my coupon for Arnicare and the store coupon to get it for $2 and give that a try, but will look at the others on offer. I'm about ready to try anything to help me get up and going while this weather is so wonky!

I too recommend Formula 88 sold by QVC. However, I started taking Aloe Vera Juice for another condition and started to notice that my joints were not aching as much. It seems to be one of the benefits but not one I was seeking out. Really grateful because I was just going to start taking supplements but now do not have too.

China Gel; available in wide range of sizes. We now order the gallon sizes ( lasts DH at least 8 myths). It does have a medicinal odor which quickly dissipates. Available from Amazon.

Re: Help - Need Arthritis Cream/OTC Med

I HIGHLY recommend CryoDerm which soothes and nourishes tissue. It's a fast acting, deep penetrating pain relief used for Arthritis, soft tissue injuries, sprains, bursitis, tendonitis and plantar fasciitis. It comes in either a spray bottle or a cream version, both hot or cold options. I prefer the cold spray option as there is no need to rub it in. This is the ONLY OTC medicine that works for me. Believe me, I tried MANY as I had my Achilles Tendon repaired. In fact, I use it more than taking my prescribed medicine as it's so easy to use and most importantly IT WORKS. I originally purchased my spray from my surgeons office. I found a better deal on Amazon. I paid $10 or so that lasts me for months. I HIGHLY SUGGEST YOU TRY THIS!!!

China Gel and CyroDerm sound promising and come in small sizes for trying first. Thanks for those.

I've tried capsaicin and it burned like the dickens.....I have sensitive skin so that didn't work for me.

I use SALONPAS GEL. Works great for me...also comes in a spray and pad but I find that the gel is most effective.

Our Sports Med Dr has prescribed Pensaid to both my dh and myself. It is a topical anti-inflam that really helps my foot and knee issues. It is for knee but can be used elsewhere. Not OTC, and may require prior insurance approval!

It has absolutely NO SMELL to it at all. That's what first attracted me, but then I found that it works really well for me too.
