Meds from Canadian pharmacies?

Does anyone get their meds from Canadian pharmacies? DH has reached the donut hole and 250$ is a lot for a one month supply. BTW his meds are produced by a Canadian company. Any recommendations?

TIA

I use Northwest Pharmacy in Vancouver, BC. Get Actonel thru them. Half cost what I'd pay thru Humana Healthcare Advantage. Comes from overseas, but same drug. On internet w/toll free call. Takes 8-18 shipping days after 2-3 day order processing. Someone has to sign upon receipt.

Are these pharmacies safe, is it legal to order from them?

I, too, have used Northwest Pharmacy. My medication is now available in generic so I can purchase at Costco. I was not hesitant using a Canadian pharmacy.

In addition, I have purchased Finacea (a skin cream) from Australia as a prescription is not required there, although one is required here. It saves me an astronomical amount of money.

Re: Meds from Canadian pharmacies?

I TAKE A VERY EXPENSIVE MED FOR MY ARTHRITIS. US COPAYMENT IS $190 FOR 30 PILLS. MY DOCTOR GAVE ME A PRESCRIPTION AND SUGGESTED I GO TO CANADA DRUGS. SAME MED - $72 FOR 100 PILLS INCLUDING S&H. FREE CALL. THEY EVEN CALL ME TO REMIND ME AND THEN THEY CALL MY DOCTOR FOR REFILL AUTHORIZATION. GREAT SERVICE

There just as safe and legal as ordering from a US pharmacy. Canada is hardly a third world country. I get an ointment (Voltaren) for which you must have a prescription here, but in Canada it's sold OTC and even at Walmart. It's the only thing that, applied on my back, allows me to get moving in the mornings.

Yes! There is nothing wrong with Canadian Pharmacies, my relatives in Canada use them all the time! Smile

I take prescriptions for which there is no generic in the US, they are very expensive. I can get them filled from Canada for LESS than my co-pay with insurance here in the US.

I was ordering my Erfa Thyroid from Universal Drugstore until Erfa reformulated like Armour did several years ago. The price also went from $80 to $175 for 500 tablets. Did not have any problems with ordering from the Canadian Pharmacy though. If you can find the meds you need from them at a better price I would order from them.

I used to order my thyroid meds from Canadian pharmacy Universal Drugstore. Yes they were safe. Yes it's legal. My doctor had to write me a script & I had to scan it & email it to them to fill my script. I'm sure there are plenty of places you don't want to order from.
