Have a year calendar next to the scale. Weight each morning and time and mileage of the treadmill each day.
Watching success a day at a time.
BTW, my scale is a packing scale from DYMO it weighs in half pound increment's.

I tend to do better when I'm weighing myself every day.
I went for months not weighing myself, then one day I went to the doctors office and I got the shock of my life when I was weighed there.
When I weigh myself daily, if I go up in weight I reflected on what I did the day before and I try to make a change.

Same here and I always choose the same day and time if possible plus completely naked to get an accurate reading. Just me and my fat cells. If it goes up more than two pd.s then I curb in tight for the upcoming week on eating and increase my workouts.

Apparently my doctor thinks what the scale says is important so I continue to weigh myself weekly as a part of my checks and balances.
It's by no means the only factor in determining your health, but it is factor.

I weight myself once a month, that whether I'm dieting or not. I know myself. When I'm dieting, I put too much pressure on myself by hopping on the scale every day or even once a week. I'm not one of those people who loses weight consistently. I can diet and lose not a pound for two weeks and then the third week, I'll be down by 9lbs. So, monthly weigh-ins work best for me. And when I'm not dieting, if I fail to weight myself monthly, I can suddenly find myself up by 15 or 20lbs and not even know it until my jeans don't button. Losing 5lbs is so much easier than losing 18.

Oh I've weighed myself daily my entire adult life! I've only gone up or down 5 lbs. the past 40 years. Yes, it's all from keeping a keen eye on my numbers! Ladies, if you only go by the fit of your clothes, you could have gained 10lbs. before you actually feel something being tight. Then its way too difficult to take that 10 lbs. off! You are only fooling yourself by not regularly taking your weight.

I not only use the scale, I record my food choices (fitnesspal) and I use a Fitbit to track my exercise and link them all. It keeps me honest, keeps me aware, and keeps me going.
My friends supply the compliments and that is like frosting on the cake (if I dare use those terms).
It is so easy to SLIP without accountability. And yes my clothes do help determine my progress as well, except they are not all that standard. I have a size 14 that fits like my size 10.
