By not regularly weighing yourself you are sure to gain weight. Judging your weight by the fit of your clothes is ridiculous! By the time your clothes are tight you will have gained 5-10 lbs.! Daily weighing is the only way I've kept my weight in check my whole life. I'm still within the same 5 lbs. I was since I've married 37 years ago. I can still wear clothes from when I was 24. I'm 61. Don't fool yourself, keep check of lbs.

I weigh myself every morning of my life. If I don't, the pounds will always come creeping back. Always. It's better for me to weigh.

No, I haven't given up on the scale. But, it mocks me! Ha! It sets there in the bathroom in silent judgment.
It's daring me to get on. C'mon, you know you want to!!!!! Don't you want to know what damage that pizza, that cheescake, that donut did??? So, you can feel lousy all day about it????
I seriously do avoid the scale on certain days because I know I will be mad at myself -- and the scale! I try to weigh myself no more than about once every 2 weeks. The weight goes up and down so much that I don't want to depress myself if I see an increase when I'm already in a not so happy place!!!

Measuring is the only real way of following progress. If you watch 'The Biggest Loser' they always say the scale is your enemy (even though the show is based on weighing-in).
I can be under calories everyday, but if I'm eating too much sodium, the scale will show weight gain due to water retention...which isn't really weight gain.
If you need a scale to guilt you into eating less, so be it. I understand. You should only take what the scale says with a grain of salt, though.

You can't find a scale around here. I can tell if I need to watch it by how my clothes fit, or if I'm jiggling as I walk.
I don't think weight is the chief indicator of how fit you really are. Rather, can you walk those stairs, or walk a couple of miles, do you fatigue easily, are you sedentary out of choice, do you have good skin and muscle tone?

Granted I don't have a weight problem, but I ignore the scale. I only weigh myself when I go to the doctor. So I'm on the scale about once or twice a year.
How your clothing fit is an indicator you either are steady, gained or lost weight.

Once a week on the same day..........doing it more often is obsessive and it will make you nuts!

I can't give it up, when I do, I gain. I use it once a week, at the same time.
