Do any of y'all put Ghee in your coffee?  If so, do you like it?  If so, do you still use Half-n-Half?

Hi, @SurferWife. One of my sons was into 'Bulletproof' coffee maybe 5 or 6 years ago.

The maker of the coffee was inspired by Tibetan butter tea.

No cream is needed. Some people use a blender, and some folks buy a little foaming gadget.

Look up 'Bulletproof Coffee' and read all about it! Smiley Happy

Ghee is clarified butter...I can't imagine using "grease" in my coffee.  I am curious to know how that would taste...

Yes, I am aware it is clarified butter.  It has a good taste and seems to be a popular addition to coffee, which is why I am asking others who add it to coffee what they think.  I'm going to try it tomorrow morning.

@rockygems123

Will do!  I will still add my collagen powder.  I normally also use 2 tsps sugar & half-n-half.  I think I'll take a sip or two before adding the sugar & half-n-half to see what it tastes like.  One thing's for sure, if I don't like the taste then I won't drink it anymore.

My husband does the cooking and he uses Ghee for almost everything that requires butter (we still use butter, too). He is suggesting I try it so I'll try it at least once.

Please stay tuned...Woman LOL

@SurferWife - I don't use ghee very much, never in my coffee. I'll drink a perfect mug of bulletproof.  It used to be an occasional treat.  Now it's more often, several times a week, but limited to only one on the days I have it.  For me, it's a pleasurable experience, early in the AM.  After that, it's sweetener and sometimes a small amount of heavy cream.

@JeanLouiseFinch I drank bullet proof coffee with the addition of collagen peptides every morning for a long time. I guess I ran out of the peptides one day and just never bought more. I use Kerrygold butter. Thanks for the reminder!

Are you only adding butter now, @We rescue cats, or anything else?
