I will share my experience with gel polish. I loved it, I grew beautiful long nails that always looked great-never a chip or broken nail.

I developed Onycholysis, or lifting of the nail. Not good. Currently, I am resolving the problem. The only solution is to cut my nails very short, keep them short, and wait until the bad nail completely grows out. No more for me.

I have never worn fake nails or gel polish. My nails are strong and keep them short manicure myself. The same with my toe nails. Stopped salon visits back when covid hit never returned. My opinion bring your own manicure tools never use the salons even if they tell you tools are sterilized.

I liked my dip nails but I gave them up about two years ago when I began to read about the risks and dangers. I have my natural nails and I use Londontown Nail Veil. Nice. But I miss my perfectly beautiful nails.

My doctor had told me that basically any nail polish is not good

Nails are porous and polish blocks your nails from breathing

Nail polish remover is even worse

I went all season with no toe polish, just kept them manicured

What a difference in the nail....

If we went to EU stardards on food and beauty people would have fits. If they banned bath gels people would have fits.

I wouldn't be having fits. I would be very happy that they are finally banning things that are detrimental to our health, as oppossed to still continuing to allow things to be sold that are harmful!

I used to love polish on my toenails. And then one day, I just found myself staring at my toes thinking my nails can't breathe thru the basecoat, 2 layers of polish and topcoat! I took the polish off a few days after my pedicure and haven't had the slightest interest to wear it since.

I have had gel/acrylic nails for over 25 years and have only one 1-2 problems with them. My nails are horrible and I love the way my nails/toes look................
