I went grocery shopping this morning and they had a big banner outside saying it was time for flu shots and either stop in or schedule an appointment online.

I know last year I got it in late August and I'll probably get one in the next week or two.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

That seems early.  Normally our vaccines don't arrive until mid Sept.  I'm in Colorado

The best time to get the flu shot is September-October. The immunity lasts about 4-6 months so you want it to be effective in and about February. But please check with your doctor.

Too early.  It'll lose its effectiveness by the time flu season peaks.  I try to get mine sometime in October.

@gidgetgh

Think I will wait till end of September or October. Got enough going on right now with my doctors.

Flu shot only effective for about 90 days ...if I take it now may not have enough protection by the time flu season arrives....PCP recommends October...

I have never gotten a flu shot or the flu.  Just got over Covid and will wait for the recommendation on a second booster shot.  How many shots can a person get????

I work for the city. I've already scheduled with our city nurses to give us our flu shots mid-October. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ’‰๐Ÿ‘€
