Does anyone know if Fitbit automatically tracks and records weight based on calories in/calories out, or do we have to actually weigh ourselves and then manually enter our weight? Thanks!

You have to weigh yourself and manually enter it.

I weigh myself about every week or week and a half and enter it manually. Fitbit does not do it automatically, I agree.

That's correct. You need to manually log your weight, but if you entered an amount that you wish to lose, it will keep track of how much more you need to lose before you hit your goal. I really like that feature and find it encouraging each time I weigh in. Ex: if I was 140 and logged in that I wanted to get down to 130, your 'dashboard' shows you how much more you must lose to meet your goal.

Re: Fitbit and tracking weight

I use MyFitnessPal & track my weight and food in MFP. It syncs with Fitbit automatically so I do not need to manually enter weight or food in Fitbit.

Re: Fitbit and tracking weight

FitBit has an expensive scale you can buy to synch to your program.

It's so easy to just enter it yourself though...who needs to get a scale at $100+ dollars?

I used Kohl's Cash for mine. Smiley Happy

Prior to my Aria scales . . . I had the Tanita scales with % of body fat . . . of course it is a general estimate and not accurate down to the exact percentage . . . and it varies as to whether you weight first thing and before getting hydrated in the a.m.

It tracks 8 people. 3 people in my family have Fitbits so what the heck. It's ONLY money, right. Smiley Wink
