Argh!
I have an eye stye!
I could feel something was coming all week but yesterday AM
it was ‘developed’...so...(hanging my head in shame)...I popped it.
I had a mani-pedi later in the day & didn’t want to leave
the house with a devil eye.
But out of revenge, it came back today!
Warm compresses but anything else to help it along?
IknowIknow....don’t mess with it. Man it bugs me.
I feel I need to wear one of those plastic dog cones!
Any tips?

@sidsmom, I have not had one in years, but I only did the warm compresses and lots of them. Popping it, even though we want to do it, can cause an infection, which you do not want.

@sidsmom Colloidal Silver drops....10 PPM. Best thing ever for any kind of eye infection. I have used it for years.

I feel like I need one of these:

@sidsmom Warm compresses, warm compresses, warm compresses, several times a day for a good 10 minutes or more. I used to get them and I used hot water but that's not always good. While the compress is on, message the style softly. Once or twice a day, wash the stye with baby shampoo, nothing harsher or it might burn. Next time you feel something coming on, use compresses immediately, even before the stye actually developes. Don't ever pop it. If you do, you're looking for trouble. Hope it clears up soon.

These are notorious for spreading to the other eye, and thru the members of the household.
Keep hands & nails scrupulously clean, and away from your face.
You're going to be washing hands constantly for a couple of weeks so get the nailbrush, soft towels and hand lotion out.
The Big Spread often happens while you're asleep, and because of this patients are strongly urged to pick up an eyepatch and some disposable cotton squares at the drugstore to wear at night. Tape it in place or you'll likely scratch under it while sleeping. Drainage that gets to your pillowcase can infect the other eye.

Toss your eye makeup.

@sidsmomWarm tea bag (black, not green) compresses several times a day. I did this and the stye was gone in 2 days.

So many suggestions! Thank you all!
I woke up this morning & the white part (🤢) is gone
but the lid is super swollen. I put warm compresses on it until now...
and I’m off to Spin. Thank goodness we’re in a dark room! Ha
Probably on the right side of healing, but I’m definitely
going to try some of your suggestions to help it along.
