Dress code for retail pharmacies

Has this changed? Was in one yesterday and one of the techs had blue hair.

I didn't know that pharmacies ever had a "dress code" for hair color. What possible difference does one's hair color make?

Is there a standard color for the tresses of licensed pharmacy technicians?

I always thought the idea was for a Smiley Tonguerofessional look. I do not think blue hair is very professional.

@50Mickey I also don't think there was a dress code for hair color. At one time the phamacists (in some stores) could have beards.

@deepwaterdotter : I'm sure that at one time there was.

How old are you?  Many years ago, in the late 60's, a high school girl couldn't even color her hair, in many cases, not wear an abundance of makeup without being sent home!  And I lived in the Bay Area!  Times have changed and it isn't the color of hair that makes a "professional"!  It is their training and personality and kindness.

Probably not legal. People would say discrimination.

Yeah....nurses used to wear TOTAL starched white, and  a little cap from their nursing school....

I prefer the scrubs and sneakers!
