I'll try keeping this short but would appreciate some input. My 83 yo mom had knee replacement last yr. but hasn't walked well since. Her ortho said she couldn't do anything else for her so I took her for a 2nd opinion. He said she needed a hip replacement on the same side and gave her a cortisone shot in the hip. Immediately after the injection, she developed severe back pain. I'm not convinced that putting her thru hip replacement will help the back pain.....anyone have any experience with this? Of course, her doc's not making any guarantees, as she does have widespread osteoporosis. Thank you!
