You may be dehyrated and that is why you do not feel well.
I am dehydrated and got very sick from it. My lips are also dry and peeling and my hair was falling out and so weak I can't walk good.
I am under a Drs care for it. I didn't know I was dehydrated untill the Dr told me.. and you have to keep up on it and it ain't easy.
Now my nails are even growing,something they never did in my life.My nails are actually doing better than I am ............lol

No I can't say that's happened to me. When your not feeling well maybe your not getting enough fluids.

Yes, it seems to be a lack of the usual grooming. Just not feeling up to it.
I had a long hospital/surgery stay and then a time in bed at home. When I finally looked at my heels I just about died. Took a while to whip all back into shape.

It could be the very dry weather. I'm gradually becoming a prune. Yesterday at 5pm our relative humidity was 7%, dewpoint was 7°.
@goldensrbest Where do you live?

Drinking liquids is good, but! All liquids do not hydrate, some in fact do just the opposite.
My main source has always good old H2o. Was gonna say "free", but nowadays that is not always true. Checking one's hydration level is very easy. It may not give you numbers, but it does answer the question of your hydration. Give it a try, I do.

Often medication will dehydrate you. Do you use a humidifier at night? They make a huge difference. I so hope you are feeling better soon.

When I'm feeling under the weather I tend to take longer and hotter showers, trying to make myself feel better. But all that does is dry my skin out even more. Lately everything about me is super dry b/c the humidity here is close to 0% and has been that way for a few weeks now. I can't stand it so I started using my humidifier, full blast, around the clock. That helps tremendously with my dry scratchy throat. My hands and feet are feeling a lot better, too.
Illness and stress can cause your body to go through more liquids than usual. Best to increase fluid intake when that happens.
