Here I am with Covid.  Faithfully got my shots, but didn't get my booster yet this year.  Wrong!!  Figured I had time to do that.  Queen of hand sanitizer and washing hands and hardly leave the house.

Been sick most of the month of Sep.  First w/upper resp inf, got a little better, then started with this a week ago.  Dr appt said no flu or covid.  Waited 2 days and drove myself to ER about 15 mi away in traffic.  Oops, Covid diagnosis.  Never got it when it was in it's heyday so this is new to me.

So I am home coughing my lungs out.  Been "sleeping" in a lazy boy, if you could call it sleeping.  My goodness I feel like a limp dishrag.  I have heart failure, too, and my age (86) is against me.

I feel blessed that I am not any worse than this.  Not looking for sympathy, just trying to humor thru it, but it really isn't funny.

Hope you all are "weller" than I am.  God Bless!

Drink lots of water! Do you have an oxymeter, a little device that measures oxygen level? It might be a good idea and it's not expensive.

I am so sorry you're sick like this and hope you're on the mend! Is there someone nearby who can check on you and get what you need?

Hope you mend soon. This year's variant has symptoms called "razor blade throat." Nasty!

Had the same thing happen to me last year...all my shots/boosters up to date, rarely left the house, hygiene, the works. Still got Covid. My sister visited and she got it too. Neither of us could think of any source of Covid! So she got to say I infected her and I got to say she infected me! LOL!

I got Paxlovid. I only took 2 doses before I decided the cure was worse than the disease.

Hunker down, rest, and drink lots of liquids. Take care.

So sorry to hear you've got Covid. A terrible cough that prevents you from getting a good night's rest is just the worst!

But sounds like you're doing all the right things. Best of all you have a great attitude which will get you through this. Saying a prayer for a speedy recovey!!
