And that is why it is so important for people to have a colonoscopy. Can you imagine if you had refused to have one?

Those polyps would have gone undetected, and could have possibly become cancer.

But, since you did have a colonoscopy, they were found and removed, and you can go about your life now.

Yes, plaid pants! I am so glad I did it! i had no symptoms whatsoever and am 56..Had a Flex sig 6 years ago, and so happy I did the "whole enchilada" this time...which reminds me, I am HUNGRY!!!!

Agreed, you did a good thing for yourself and maybe you raised awareness too so you can feel good about doing 2 very good things....when it is over, you are so glad you did it!

MT the OP. I am happy all went well for you. The fact you had polyps removed should give those that say "I will never have one of those done", some serious food for thought. Colon Cancer can be a silent killer and why anyone would choose to bypass a simple procedure to possibly save them from a not so pleasant death escapes me. I was surprised to hear that they used profofol for your procedure. My nephew is an Anethesiologist and he has told me that the colonoscopy procedure is finished so quickly, that he personally never administers profofol for that procedure. I understand that is up to each doctor what they choose to use and I am sure that many patients are happy that they used profofol for their procedure. again, I am glad everything went so well for you.

Yes, I had Versed and Fentanyl for my endoscopy at the same place a month ago.. I liked the propofol better....i came out of it pretty clear...

i generally know in advance what kind of anesthesia I am getting, because the anesthesiolgists always consult with me beforehand as I have pseudocholinesterase deficiency as well as thallasemia, and am an anesthesia risk...
