@monicakmI had one years ago. It didn't feel like anything to me. Being completely out of shape and overweight at the time it was easier than trying to get to maximum heart rate needed on the treadmill. It sounded frightening though. My cardiologist ordered it though. I had already seen him. Prayers you come through it just fine.
This was my experience also. Everything turned out to be fine.

I had a chemical stress test awhile ago. It was pretty easy. There were nurses in wth me watching everything. My heart beat real fast and my face felt hot and it was over. Tomorrow I will get a heart monitor put on for 24 hours. I do it every year to check my Afib.
Hoping everything goes smoothly for you, I know how stressful this stuff is. I'm such a big scardy cat with anything medical.

I had a chemical stress test due to my having some weakness in my arm, so they didn't want me to try to hold on to the treadmill arms when I would need to start running fast.
The cardiologist did it in the hospital. He injected me with medication. He had me sit on the side of the bed with my knees over the edge and my lower legs hanging over, and he said when my heart rate increases, begin moving my legs back-and-forth fast. He said it would help with the discomfort of feeling your heart racing..
It didn't last long; however, I had a regular treadmill test last year, my arm was much better by then, and I was able to run and hold on.
I prefer the regular treadmill due to a side effect of the medication from the chemical stress test. My brother had the same reaction, and so did my neighbor; all of us had immediate massive diarrhea. If the bathroom had been more than 10 feet away or occupied, it would've been a horrible situation.
The doctor did not tell me that it could happen; apparently, it is a very common occurrence.
I would have come prepared, wearing an adult diaper and bringing an additional one with a change of clothes. I've never worn one, but if I knew that side effect was very common, I'd rather be wearing one in case someone was in the bathroom or it was further away, but that situation hit hard and fast immediately after the test was finished.
I was still on the table and thought Oh my gosh, I got down as fast as I could, bolted out of the room, ran down the hall to a bathroom, thank goodness I chose the correct direction.
My advice is to ask about where you're taking it and if there's a bathroom nearby, and hope there's more than one toilet, because if you have to wait outside the door for someone to come out, it's going to be a problem. 😲🙀

@monicakm : I had one last year. I have lower back and hip problems and no able to stand up or lay flat. They had me sit in a chair. I was instructed when to move my legs and feet as if walking fast. The test was less than 15 minutes. I got really hot and face turned red. I had trouble breathing and felt my heart beating fast. The nurse was with me. I am over weight . My dad died with heart attack and brother had heart surgery. My cardiologist was surprised that I wasn't on cholesterol, blood pressure medication or diabetes. My test results were good. My doctor said the shortness of breath was from being over weight. She released me and said to call if anything changed. I was worried about the test.

I thought I would have issues like you did. I was fully expecting it but I never felt anything. There were two parts to the test. An injection and test, then another injection and a shorter test. I did fine. The bed was formed/shaped so that someone with back pain wouldn't be in pain, plus she gave me a pillow for my legs.
