I am looking for recommendations if you have your medications shipped to you from Canada to save on cost. I have googled some and not sure as I have never done this before. My doctor has offered to write me a script to send them so I can begin this new medication which here in the states (since if is a newly approved medication) is simply too expensive to try.
From what I turned up on this med it has been approved in Japan since 2014 and other countries for a long time....this is why it is much more afforable from other countries.
Thank you to anyone that has a recommendation for me.:womanhappy:

From Google:
In early 2025, the U.S. administration imposed tariffs on Canadian imports, which are set to expand to include certain pharmaceutical products. A study in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) highlighted that pharmaceuticals were expected to lose their exemption and become subject to a 25% tariff. By July 31, 2025, the tariff rate on Canadian goods not covered by USMCA was raised to 35%.

Even with the tarriff my cost for a 90 supply is so much cheaper.
Thank you for letting me know.

@tsavorite I highly recommend "Price Pro" in Vancouver.
Myself and others have been using them for years on certain medications. All you have to do is ask Doctor's PA to fax the script to them. Mine come 3 months at a time which is nice.
And they will call you when it's refill time as a reminder.

@tsavorite Did you reach out to the manufacturer for a savings program? I went on Xeljanz several years ago, my portion of the monthly cost was $7000-way beyond the budget. I reached out to Pfizer and they put me on a 'scholarship' program, they mailed it me complimentary for 3+ years. Your doctor may need to complete some of the paperwork but it was a blessing.

@tsavorite But did not recommend any Canadian pharmacies?
My medical facility has a list of foreign pharmacies in every exam room w/Canada at the top of the list for patients to pick. Plus the med assistant will help you complete the forms online if need be.

I ordered from a couple of pharmacies but it has been quite some time ago. They are as closely regulated as ours are so they're all about the same.
