So I have to wait for the 1st doctor which will be at the end of May. This has made me a wreck. The grocery store is very close that I can walk there but the red and green lights to cross the street are hard to see so I look which way the cars are going. I never thought getting this operation would be so difficult. I was on the phone all morning. There is nothing I can do about it but hope and pray everything turns out ok.

@halfpint1  Cateract surgery is not lasik surgery.  I just Googled it to double check, and it is not.  I can see why they would classify lasik as cosmetic, but lasik and cateract surgery are not the same.  Did you tell your insurance company that it was cateract surgery?  I hate for you to have to wait  until the end of May.

Edited to add:  I just researched again and did find out that Medicare and lots of insurance cos. do not pay for the laser cateract surgery.  Still, if they were calling it lasik surgery I would have someone help me to find out that this was the correct information for laser cateract surgery.

Yes, when did lasik surgery come into the cataract removal?

so sorry to see your latest comment @halfpint1. Could you contact your local Municipal Office for seniors and see if they might have someone who could help you? My eye surgeon did all the preliminaries regarding my surgery. Mine, as yours, was NOT being done for cosmetic purposes.
