@conlt wrote:I work with someone who bought a Casper bed and he and his wife like it. I have a memory foam Serta IComfort bed for 3 years now and I will never go back to a spring foundation and regular mattress. I am sure you will need help setting up the Casper when it comes. That would be a concern of mine since I am single.
I would let them set it up. I know I would have to pay for that, but it's not that much . . . around $75.

@LilacTree. I'd buy a Casper in a heart beat. I already have a memory foam mattress I got about 8 years ago online. It is a different feel which takes a little adjustment. It can be hard to turn over in bed, and I know you have some limitations. The heavier parts of the body sort of sink in, and it's a bit of a struggle to get out.
I don't think they set it up. It comes in a box and it's up to you to wrestle it out of the box and onto the bed. Mine, a full size, was very heavy. You can use your present box springs. No need to buy theirs.
I'd go to a mattress store and try memory foam before buying. They are great for arthritic joints.

There is an organization in our city that drives to one’s place and picks up used mattresses free of charge.
This group is church-based.

No one in the family wants this one. It was not my bed to begin with. I'll try to find a way to donate it. I'll probably get the pillows too. I'm glad you're happy with it.
@LilacTree If you're getting bitten by dust mites, why in the world would you donate that mattress and pass your troubles on to someone else?
As for the Casper, I'm sure they are excellent, but you can find other excellent mattress options that are more budget friendly.

I did think of that. I would have to make sure it does not have dust mites. It is 20+ years old and probably should just be junked. I'll have to find out what the township requires.

@LilacTree..I just read your post..I do not think dust mites bite...have you checked for bedbugs or chiggers?
just a FYI..I have heard great things about the Casper bed.

I thought the Q was going to offer the Casper mattress.

@LilacTree: If you can't get rid of it any other way, place an ad on Facebook area bulletin board, or Pennysaver etc, to pay someone to dispose of it.

Ick!! You're right. I meant bed bugs, although as I said, I've never seen one. But I do get these itchy bites and it's coming from somewhere or something!
I'm still thinking about the bed. Read a lot of reviews on Amazon and the only thing that bothers me is those who say it smells and it never goes away. I couldn't handle that.
Of course I would never buy the bed from Amazon. I do not like nor ever did purchase anything significant from them. I do buy a book and occasionally CDs from them . . . they don't mess them up or blame anything on third party suppliers. I haven't even done that in a while.

Are you getting the new Casper Wave? I'm not sure if thats been out long enough to get enough reviews.
