@bow regard- so glad your daughter came to be with you! And now it's OVER!!
My Ativan directions were given to me directly by my dr to take 1 1/2 pills 1 hour before the MRI. It REALLY relaxed me! I was face down the whole time and think I could have done it without meds, now that I know what it was like. My daughter was with me also. I hated to ask her because she had to take off work, but that's how it goes. Gotta make them feel useful to their Mothers!!
They should have asked you about the dosage, so don't be hard on yourself. I sometimes forget to do this, but it is always good to ask questions, repeatedly if necessary, until you feel you have the correct information and know what's going on about every little thing. I'm of the opinion almost no one is competent at what they do anymore....no one. Question everything.
Hope you have a wonder time with your daughter over the holidays. I don't celebrate them, so am not doing anything special. Going to the new Mary Poppins movie with a friend and her grandkids, but I loved the original soooo much, I can't see how this one can come close - I've seen the trailers, not impressed. Hope I'm wrong. I think I'm getting old and don't like changes, lol!!!
Take care!

I am a stage 3c Breast Cancer survivor for 10 years and I just want to say DON'T give up!
BUON NATALE ( MERRY CHRISTMAS) AND A HAPPY, HEALTHY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE..............

Thank you oldness2 for posting. Congrats for being a 10 year survivor. We muddle through it all and we're doing pretty good except for the drama of life. We certainly have interesting adventures like Pam with her tree in her top room. Lord have mercy.

Happy Holidays to you as well, oldness2! Thanks for your words of encouragement!

@HerRoyaLioness Lannie, I bought "Lord Jones High CBD Pain and Wellness Formula Body Lotion" just to give it a try. It is not the oil nor nearly as potent I know, but I could easily order it from Amazon and I had been reading excellent reviews on it. I think it's pretty good...was using on my shoulder and no longer have the pain it was being used to help, but it could've just gotten better on its own, however, I do feel that when it was hurting, this gave me some relief.
Are you buying the oil locally? I thought of trying to do this. In everything I have read about this, there are some wonderful benefits...even for cancer. I know it's all still being experimented with for various things, but worth trying if you have something that it perhaps could help.
"They" say it matters to make sure you're getting the good stuff because the market has a lot of phoney stuff being sold, but I have read a lot about Charlotte's Web. The thing is, they don't accept PayPal on their site, and I don't order unless I can use PayPal.
What brand are you buying....and which grade?
I don't really celebrate Christmas either. I did decorate some, but don't go out of my way to celebrate. My daughter does though. Going to see Mary Poppins sounds delightful to me. I think it will be good...the new version....great actors anyway, but they do have a lot to live up to for sure. Have fun!

Well, just to give a general up date on my situation. I was told last week if my test was on a Friday, to call early Monday morning which I did today. Their Answering Service is all you got today. I talked to a live person who said she was taking this non-urgent message of inquiring about test results and sending to the office. I called back again a few hours later, and they were still using the Answering Service, and I have not been called yet. I guess they are off or are not dealing with non urgent stuff today. So, I guess maybe that's another good sign...hopefully everything is negative. It just would've been nice to hear those words since I know those results are sitting around somewhere known already. I will call back day after tomorrow I guess.
Wishing everyone a peaceful and safe Christmas Eve wherever you are whether you celebrate or it's just another Eve for you. Take care.

@JackieHN Jackie, I will think about you tomorrow eating at a Chinese Restaurant somewhere during the day. :-) You're still doing that, right?

Hi Annaboxer. I am a 5+ yr triple negative stage 2 breast cancer survivor that had horrible neuropathy in both my hands and feet due to chemo. I tried some vitamins and other types of pills with little success. I did accupunture, and my neuropathy is about 99% gone. It is worth a try...
The folks on here were a HUGE help to me going thru cancer. Feel free to ask any questions and someone will be able to help.
Happy Holidays to all. Kind of sad one for me since it is the first one since my mom passed. Plus my dad and brother are gone.. But I'll be ok.

OMG Pam - that really is scary. Very happy you and stripey cat are ok. Those 2 wind storms were wild. We had a branch fall on our fence and take out one section, but otherwise we are fine. Having a hard time finding a contractor to come fix our fence - they are all so busy. I hope you get your house fixed soon!!!

Pam, you better rest up. Don't overdo things. The house will come along.
BFF, is your house finished? What color granite did you decide on? Cashmere, on my.
Lion, hope you are doing well.
Jackie, without the in-laws is a good thing. Chinese sounds good too. I like egg drop soup and the vegetable meal with no mushrooms and extra broccoli.
Graciesmommy, good deal ending the year with DH better and a new pup. The scan is in the future, leave it there. Are you still able to cook lasana?
Birdmama, are you enjoying your first non working Christmas? What do you do with yourself? I am sooo jelly.
Mia, did kitty get a Christmas present? My mother bought sisters cats each a ball with a bell in it. It's about the size of a grapefruit. They are very cautious about it? Going out with friends?
Bow,why did they tell you to call when they are closed? I have no patience for such nonsense. I'm in the camp that they would have called if the results weren't positive. Keep the faith.
Seahawk, I'm sure Christmas will be a bit odd with your mother gone. The best you can do is keep up with the traditions and you'll always have the memories.
Niece is coming along to see sister tomorrow. Nephew is avoiding me, so he doesn't have to tell me he isn't coming. Sister keeps calling and asking about him coming. She says I need to try harder. They are serving a big lunch at the home, so we'll get there after lunch. I'm not sure what to bring, but I guess I'll pack a variety of appetizers and desserts. A little of this and that. We won't have eaten, so we'll nibble.
Happy whatever you celebrate tomorrow!!
