CBD oil is from the hemp plant, not the marijuana plant. They're "cousins." I've been researching it for my RA.

I found some at the health food store and it's wicked expensive. I bought a bottle to try and have tried it for three days, just half a dropper. I can't tell yet - but sadly don't think I'll be able to afford it long term.

I am always getting spam emails about this. I have been trashing them without reading. I am going to look at the next one. I have been getting these emails for a long time.

@patbzwrote:

DH has RA and doctor recommended CBDs.  Is anyone using an oil or a salve that is available online?

@patbz@, do a search here.  @Moonchilde has mentioned her experience with CBD several times.  It is $$$.

I order mine from Amazon. One does not need a lot and yes it is expensive, but so are all my meds for Ra.

i find it a nice addition to what I already take.

I don't know what a CBD  is either but for my osteoarthritis I use an ointment called Voltaren which I get from a Canadian pharmacy.   It comes in a large 150g tube, is odorless and non-greasy.  It's the only thing that gets me up and moving in the morning.  You can read about it at pharmacymix.com.,  which is where I get it.  It's not available in the US without a prescription.

@Kachina624:

I looked this up and they don't seem to recognize Volaren!!!

@patbz, look for @Moonchilde on here. I think she has had at least 2 different OP's where she has been very informative about cbd oils.

There is also a hemp-derived CBD.  I use it orally.  The lotion did nothing for me.  It is totally legally everywhere.

It is "Voltaren". not "Volaren".

I get my CBD from a guy who grows it and makes it specifically for doctors.  He is way less expensive.

DH had a medical marijuana card and if we shop carefully it is affordable.
