Blepharitis?

Has anyone out there dealt with this catch all phrase for inflamation of the eyelids? My Dr says the oil glands in my lids are either blocked or not working(they are actually blaming this on menopause) I have done the antibiotics, drops, compresses etc for over a month now and still have cherry red skin,swollen eyelids, itching etc can't seem to find any relief. Has anyone had any sucess with a treatment????
