@NickNack    Hmmm, I don't think my doctor knows that.  She said I could use it liberally.  She even wrote me a prescription for it so I could get it cheaper than OTC.  I'll read the literature and ask her.

@Kachina624   I bought it for my knees and my back.  I had a prescription for it for my knees many years ago and I thought it helped.  I read the literature for how to use it, and it really does specifically say not to use it on your back, so I haven't.

@Kachina624   It also comes with a little card that shows you exactly how much to use.  I'm surprised your doctor told you to use it liberally.  There's a specific amount you're supposed to use for each area.

If these simple at home fixes don't help, please have a check up with your doctor. I have injured both sides of my rear, different issues on each side but some kind of torn muscle issueand damaged nerve. My PCP thought it was one thing but the sports med specialist examined me, the resident examined me, and they couldn't figure out exactly what is wrong on one side. Dr examined around my spine and hip bone and it hurt like crazy when he touched areas so I'll get X-rays next week. Point is, sometimes we need professional examination when home stuff isn't working. I also use lidocaine patches, and the Salonpas brand with methyl salicate, an NSAID. Make sure you can use either as this is a drug in the patch. I've been stretching and gently exercising to no avail.

About mattresses: they are not made to last forever. A ten year warranty mattress is good for five years. The lower price ones as sold on this channel do not last long before breaking down, maybe five years. So the age of our mattress certainly can be part of the problem.

Hey Cathy @twinkies ,

Where did the aortic valve come from in this back pain thread? And are you talking about my using my Teeter Inversion Table?

Not criticizing anything, just asking.

I purchased the Chirp rings to help stretch my back and align my spine.  I like them a lot.  Purchased a set as a gift and the recipient hurt their back today and their spouse who knew what I gifted had him open his gift early.  He said it helped immediately and he loves them.
