Actually, I go to the store, dog park, pharmacy, and look around. I see with my own eyes, lots of people not wearing masks.
I draw conclusions based on what I see, lots of people are not wearing masks.
I am so tired of being called Uneducated for calling out what I see, and of being told that I'm listening to idiots.
I say what I see.
Color me - eyes open, not confused, and not listening to idiots.
..."I see lots of people not wearing masks." And I don't understand people freaking out if they are out in public and see someone not wearing a mask. So stay away from them! I mean, when I go to the store or wherever (and yes, I mask btw) I go in, get out and keep my distance. Don't get these continuing posts of "Was walking my dog, at the store or what have you and saw someone not wearing a mask!" So what? Stay away from them. Nobody said you had to get in their face.
She didn't say she freaked out.

Check out the post to which I responded, seems you missed the entire context of the conversation.
I am, not, as you said, “freaked out” and you may be certain I don’t get in the face of anyone masked, or unmasked, of whom I do see many.
Do not understand this constant need to put words in the mouths of others. I say what I see with my own eyes, I speak for myself. Kindly do Not attribute your thoughts to me.

@Drythe Okay, got it, but please see what I'm trying to say. I know you see it. You've made that very clear, along with many others. And if you all aren't "freaked out" then why the zillions of posts day after day going on about seeing people not wearing masks?
That's what I am saying. Why the need to keep posting the same old "see peoiple not wearing masks, why can't they wear masks and they are so selfish", yada yada yada. It's beyond tiring.

People not wearing masks has replaced the people talking on cell phones posts.

We developed the flu vaccines so that fewer people will die from the flu. We don't just accept it. No one is fine if their relative dies from the flu. My MIL was hospitalized from complications from the flu. I would not have found it acceptable to lose her to that.
I know you do not find flu deaths acceptabie. I just think we need to pay attention to the implications of what we are saying.
I can't wait until the technology advances we have made in fighting Covid are applied to the flu virus as well. If we can get rid of the common cold and fight cancer while we're at it, even better.
The point of medicine is less and less suffering.
But of course we accept it. Most people go about their business either with a flu shot or with an immunity system that keeps them pretty healthy and they don't think twice about how many kids or elderly die from the flu each year. I never said it wasn't sad or devastating to the people who are touched by it.
On the other hand if we have most people vaccinated by the end of this year and people are still afraid to function I'd say we have a larger problem.

One more time ...
I responded to being called Uneducated, and being told I was listening to Idiots In the post I originally quoted, because we have different views. Not because the topic was masks, it could have been anything.
THIS IS NOT ABOUT MASKS.
I am beyond TIRED of people who feel free to call others names and critique their posts just because their views are different. Name calling is simplistic, childish, lacking in real thought, and rude.
You are sick of masks, I am sick of name calling.
If you don’t like mask conversations why the need to keep posting about them? Yada, Yada, Yada.

I think we agree in general and are just using different terms to describe essentailly the same thing. We want people to get back to normal and not be sick. Makes perfect sense to me.

I sincerely doubt I called anyone uneducated. I may have distinguished between those who graduated from high school, college, and grad school. That distinction is often made in polls and sociological studies. It doesn't imply a judgement, only a reality.

One can educate themselves outside high school, college and grad school. In fact education should be a life long process. Unfortunately many like to use the term uneducated as a derogatory term. I have never heard the term uneducated used as a distinction of level of formal education.

@CrazyDaisy Yes, that is why I doubt I used the term uneducated.
