Do Spenda and Stevia contain "malitol" type substances that cause intestinal issues? I couldn't find that information. Looking for a sweetener to use in some recipes for Ninja Storm. Thanks for any help you can give.

I just bought Stevia Natural, only a couple of ingredients in there, and definitely not manitol or sorbitol.

@Daysdee I am very sensitive to artificial sweeteners - I use Andrew Lessman's Sucress. It's tastes great and I my system can handle it. I've been using it for a while now with zero adverse impact. Hope this helps.

Stevia is not an artificial sweetener. It comes from a plant. Artificial means it's man-made in a lab and not found in nature, for instance aspartame (Nutrasweet or Equal) and saccharin (SweetnLow). Artificial sweeteners are notorious for causing gut issues.
I use 100% stevia powder ( MicroIngredients brand, cert organic, top-rated) and also a blended sweetener with erythritol and stevia (Pyure brand, cert organic, also top-rated) which gives it more of a sugar taste and consistency. Erythritol is artifical.

I won't use any artificial sweeteners. In my morning hot ginger/turmeric drink, I blend it with fresh dates to sweeten. I use fruit frequently and maple syrup less so for a sweetener.

Stevia is a natural sweetener made from Stevia leaves. It does not cause stomach upset like artificial sweeteners. I buy pure Stevia powder from Whole Foods. Do not be fooled by some Stevia products that also contain artificial sweeteners. Stevia is much sweeter than sugar, so it only takes a little bit to add sweetness.

You may want to try organic dark raw agave. This form is stronger than other types. You should be able to find it in your local health food store. I brought a box of six bottles from Amazon for $22.

I use Monk Fruit. It looks and tastes like sugar. It's not artificial.
Here is an article explaining what it is:
