Hey everyone. Having trouble shaking my friend's death and this afternoon seems to be more emotional for me again. I thought of her as I layered on my jewelry this morning...as I'm sure I will from here on out.

Went for a long, hard bike ride(34) yesterday afternoon. It's a beautiful destination but it is not an easy ride so I call that long...lol. Lots of hills and wind and I didn't feel as strong as I did on my run.{#emotions_dlg.unsure} The 53-miler we did last summer wasn't as hard as this route is...probably be the last time we do it before we leave. Got to see the Osprey nests and one brought food back for its babies so we watched them be fed.

Did a yoga work-out this morning and took Lucy for a walk-run. She loved her Easter presents. Wink{#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}

Hi FUTURE, yes, we finally nailed down our pack-out dates...again...lol! Then I receive an email Friday that had the wrong dates listed! Not even the correct month! As I said, 1 step forward, 3 steps back.

Waving to everyone! You got 'er done nomless, you always do.

Ppprmint - I'm so sorry for your loss. Take care of yourself

Had company all weekend and it was hard to make time to work out, but I did a lot of housework and meal preps and clean up. I pitched tennis balls to my 5 year old grandson and bent over a lot to pick up balls. This counts for something!

Have a good and active week.

It's a new week!

Thanks bopper and ury! Now I think I'll be flying back home because my best-friend's dad isn't doing well. He was like a 2nd dad to me. Whenever we move, people tend to get sick and/or there are deaths...I don't know what it is but a move is stressful enough and all of this just compounds it.

Anyhoo, taking Lucy in to the vet this afternoon. I don't know if she's going into heat again or something else is wrong...just want to make sure. We need to get her fixed but when we were planning on doing the surgery, my son got sick...and then their dog.

Lucy and I did a few miles early this morning and I went to OTF. Wowza, it was hard but I loved it. LOTS of new people...well, 4 I think, but that's quite a bit for 1 class. Incline day(runners and joggers were up to 14% I think and power-walkers were higher than that) and good old-fashioned weight-training circuits. I used heavy weights and think I'll feel it tomorrow.

I had one point(bench step-ups with bicep curls) where I overdid it, was going too fast(you try and do as many rounds as you can in the time allotted) and it caught up with, didn't feel good when I sat down to do my skull crushers and had to regroup for about 30 seconds.

Got groceries and here I am. Going to take Lucy out for another mile then get ready for the vet. We sure keep that place in business...lol!

Have a wonderful day everyone!! {#emotions_dlg.thumbup1}

Hi, everyone. Hugs for Patty and Judy and all who need them. Thinking of you.

Ok. I'm here to report on my results after one week of 21 Day Fix: I lost 5.1 pounds. Woohoo!!

Observations: the first two days I was really hungry. I don't understand why because I was eating a lot of food. I checked the BB 21DF forums and found that others mentioned this. After a couple of days, I was fine, although each morning I'm starving.

The eating program is really easy for me to do because I was already eating the correct stuff, it was just the amounts that were wrong. This program seems to be right on target re: a good balance of protein, carbs and fats.

I had no cravings for bad food. I had no refined sugar last week, didn't even think about it.

I'm thrilled with this program because it's easy and takes the guess work out of what to eat and how much to eat. It's balanced and healthy. That it leads to weight loss is really just a side effect of eating the right foods in the right amounts. Um...duh, right?

FYI: I stuck to my normal workouts, for the most part. I only did 2 of the 21DF workouts, the rest of the week I did my standard cardio and weight workouts. So I attribute last week's success to the eating program....that was the big change I made last week.

The next couple of weeks will be a real test because now I'm at that magic number which I haven't been able to get below no matter what I do. For the past 5 years, I've kept losing and gaining the same five pounds, never breaking through the wall to the last 20 pounds I need to lose. I think if I keep eating this way, I can finally deal with the last 20 pounds, but it might take patience -- some report no weight loss in week 2, but then more in week three. We'll see. But, so far, so good!

Hey there lovely ladies

This is not a fitness related post unfortunately but I wanted to let you ladies know (those that might remember me) that while I still miss my English Bullie, Cujo, I lost in November, my hubby surprised me with a puppy!

She is a blue & white pit we named Bella. We got her way early because the momma wasn't feeding or cleaning them them so I knew I would do a better job. She is like a little baby! It's amazing how fast you can fall in love with those little fur balls! My cat Toby likes her even thought they wrestle around a good bit. My sharpei, isn't really happy about it, but hopefully he will accept her better, he is just a big ole grouch except to me and my hubby. Trooper our outside rednose pit, he doesn't really think much about her one way or the other. He sniffs her and goes on his way.

I'm sorry I haven't been here much, I haven't caught up on the threads but just wanted to share that little snippet of sunshine.

Take care ladies!

Rosbaybee, how nice to see you...for any reason! We love to hear about new furbabies. Congratulations on your new addition. It's great Toby serves as a playmate. I hope the others come around soon. Enjoy!!

Nomless ~ Good for you on losing 5.1 lbs!! You go!

Gazelle ~ I do the treadclimber for 30 minutes as it is low impact and better for my foot. I follow up with a 1 miler (when able/no foot pain) just to get my body used to jogging/running again. I have been a runner for just over 30 years.

Rosbaybee ~ Congrats on your little pitty! We have a shepherd pit mix and he is the best dog I have ever had.

I did 30min/1.5 mi. on the treadclimber. Didn't jog due to foot ache.
