@foxywoods  Why stop using it?

@NYCLatinaMe   Fair Question.  Differences in formula?  The GNC brand had fillers which Puritans Pride did not have?  No idea.  The excessive sweating happened with GNC brand.

As to why Puritan's Pride stopped offering the product at the time. One thought is the capsules got stuck together? I know their Viamin D (which I use)  had issues and complaints with sticking. They both use glycerin caps as delivery.   OR they could not get SP raw ingredient.   Unregulated supps.

The thing is, we really do not know the % of ingredients in any unregulated supps, no matter what the price.

Re: Anyone here ever try Nutrafol?

My friend started using Nutrafol and she says it has helped a lot with shedding but has not noticed any new growth, which is what I need. Her derm recently told her if she stops using it, she will have a lot fo shedding and it will continue unless she begins taking it again. Someone is making lots of money!

I need something to make my hair grow to fill in the balding spots; I don't need all the other stuff, just new hair growing. I have found nothing that works, including Nutrafol I don't want to be dependent upon a product the rest of my life, like ozempic and minoxidyl, etc.

I take enough Biotin that I have to trim my fingernails and toenails twice a week...so Biotin works...but not on my hair. It also has made my eyebrows grow so I look like a crazy person and have to trim them a lot....and not very good at it.....

My hair is dark with lots of scattered gray...will it cause more shedding if I go back to lightening my hair? I though lighter would not make my bare scalp so noticeable but don't want to make matters worse

Another friend started taking bio-identical hormones that her gyno prescribed. Her hair isn't thinning anymore but no new hair so far.....anyone tried this?

For me it's too expensive to keep buying it. It would end up costing me about a $1000 a year. Forget it.

Agree, the cost is prohibitive.

Re: Anyone here ever try Nutrafol?

I wold love to try the capsules but there's no way I can take 4 a day and I know they would upset my stomach like everything else. I do like the serum though and I've tried many. I'm not going to make claims that it has made my hair grow but I think it has helped. I will buy another one when this bottle is gone. I also like the Hair Max comb, which I've used routinely for over 6 months. I bought the Bosley MD MendXtend, I got it from the Q,  which I also like. Sounds like a lot? I have been on a 2 year hair loss journey. I've also been to the doctor. I can't use minoxidil serum but I can use the foam. I feel like I've done everything I'm going to do and I'm content. I have felt like a lab experiment at times.

If your hair-loss is due to medications you’re taking. Hair growth supplements will not work. Per a dermatologist.
