Re: Anyone here ever try Nutrafol?

@CANDLEQUEEN

I started taking Nutrafol in June 2022, and I hope I can always afford it, because it is pricy.

I have had great results.  I had too much hair in my 20s, and at some point it started to thin out, and at first I was grateful.  In my 40s/50s, I started having a hard time parting my hair without it looking overly wide, and I have a cowlick in the back of my head that always seem to part in a place where my hair was thinner.  I do double process my hair, color and highlights.  I am 62 now and maybe 1/2 of my hair is grey and the remainder the original dark black.  I like the blonde because it hides the grey better as my hair grows out.

I bought a Theradome PRO Laser Hair Growth Helmet LH80 in December 2021, but did not have much results.  So I decided to try the Nutrafol.

After a few months taking Nutrafol, I re-started growing more hair!  I now have enough hair to part without thin spots, though in the photo below, taken immediately after color and blow dry without styling products, you can see baby hairs sticking out around my face (not shown) because they keep growing, and the photo was taken before I smoothed them with product.  Hair in the back is plenty thick.

My hair has always had body for styling (naturally textured, not quite culy) so the Nutrafol does not get credit for that, and it does keep the body after I go home and apply some leave-in conditioner or anti-humectant or oil, which I had not applied in this picture.

I use Olaplex or other sulfate free shampoo and, when I wash my own hair, K18 Leave-In Repair Hair Mask Treatment, so I have no breakage, just baby hairs.  I also use coconut oil at home, or other oil and smoothing products.  And hairspray in the humid days.

My hair grows and grows!

Re: Anyone here ever try Nutrafol?

I have not, but my hairdresser has mentioned that another client of hers has been using it for a while and is pleased with the results but the only downfall is much more hair is growing in other places that she is not pleased about.  Guess it varies with each individual usage.

Re: Anyone here ever try Nutrafol?

I already have a huge problem of hair growing on the face, have to get rid of it every other day, so I would not be pleased at all with any more growth there......

I am tempted to try it, b ut it is pricey.

Thank you both for your response.

@NYCLatinaMe Thank you for the photo and the in depth description of your journey-much appreciated!

@CANDLEQUEEN   I have not had any unwanted hair gowth, just regular head hair where it was thinning.  My face is the way it was, just regular peach fuzz and too much hair above my lips, and I have one or 2 hairs on my chin which show up infrequently, all of which I remove as always. Well, the peachfuzz not always, not that noticeable.  My eyebrows have not changed, they disappear at the end, as they did before, the rest I tweeze as before.  My body hair is completely unchanged (body hair has been disappearing with age, and that continues).

@NYCLatinaMe Good to know. I am definitely leaning towards giving this a 6 month trial........Will post on here if I do decide to!

@CANDLEQUEEN   Amazon does put it on sale on Prime Days.  I do pay regular price most of the time (have it on subscription), but also take advantage of the sales, and skip a subscription shipment.

Re: Anyone here ever try Nutrafol?

@CANDLEQUEEN

I'm surprised to read so many positive replies because Nutrafol did absolutely nothing for me.  I took it faithfully for 6 months at the recommendation of my dermatologist.  We saw absolutely no change whatsoever.

If you can afford it you could give it a try, since it seems to have helped a number of people on this thread.  It must help just some people and you might be one of them. But it was such a disappointment to me.

FWIW I have straight, baby fine hair that was never thick to begin with but started thinning more the last year or two.  I use sulfate free shampoo and no coloring because I have very, very little gray.

Re: Anyone here ever try Nutrafol?

I have very thinning hair for 40 years now, I have tried at one tme or another just about every ingredient in Nurtrafol still using some and nothing has really helped. I may try the Nutrafol hair serum, get it for a good price on Ebay.

For me it's too expensive to keep buying it. It would end up costing me about a $1000 a year. Forget it.
