My BF and I both love this machine. We got it about 5 or 6 years ago. We don't always use it, but right now, we have started up again. It really makes you feel much better. We have a spare room that we use as a gym. We have a treadmill, a TV, and the Pilates machine in it. Along with the machine, we ordered the stand to go wth it. It's a must!! We have charts on the wall, and I typed up a list of my most favorite excersises, (in very large font), on the wall too. Overall, it's the best excersise piece, or program I've ever had.

I have one I've used for years.  I use it with other things like yoga and walking, so I don't use it every day.  I do use it regularly, though.

Several times over the years I have considered getting a Pilates machine. I watch Marjelen (spelling?) demonstrate the exercises you can do, and, of course, she makes it look so easy. HSN has one as their today's special and I am leaning toward going for it.

I've had the Aeropilates for several years and still use it regularly.  If you are new to this, I would suggest you find an exercise class somewhere in your area where you can get, for instance, 3 introductory classes on a Pilates machine (not exercise on the floor) so you have the input of an instructor for familiarization.  By the time your machine comes, you will be "experienced" and the machine won't look like something from Mars to figure out.  JMO

I have the Aero with stand and purchased it on EBay for a great price.

Re: Anyone Use A Pilates?

[ Edited ]

My Pilates is old and up a spiral staircase. My husband took it up about 20 years ago. He passed away 16 years ago.I have knee and back trouble now and can't do it so it's folded in the corner. The plastic wheels fell off in pieces. It squeeked anyhow!
I can't get it downstairs. maybe throw it over the balcony.
Can't take the screws out to dismantle it they're welded.
Will call Got Junk and pay to dispose of it and other junk.

If you get one be careful where you put it.

I was considering ordering the HSN Today's Special as my very old Pilates machine has more or less run its time.   But, I see the same piece of equipment here at QVC with the stand (that costs $129 on its own).  The Q's price for the whole thing is $399 versus HSN's $369.

The only thing stopping me buying at QVC is the horrible shipping charge of $56.22.  If they had free shipping I would be sold.

Any ideas when there might ever be a free shipping day again?

What do you think of the HSN deal vs. the QVC one?

@lovemyparrot

I like the one at HSN better because it's 4 cords and if I'm looking at the right one on QVC it's only 3 cords.  While I like the idea of the stand some on stands can't be folded.  I don't know if that's the case with this one though.  It's something to consider unless you plan to keep it up all the time.

Edited to add:  I also like that the HSN one has the raised cords instead of the cords connected to the base of the machine like on the QVC one.  I think it would make doing some of the over your shoulder exercises a lot easier to do.  The cords rub on my back now.  I am also considering replacing my very old machine.

I have the same model and package that is the HSN today's value.  It is very solid and I enjoy using it.  Having said that make sure you have the floor space for it. It is large and pretty heavy.  No way you would be sending it back!  I do like though.  I worked out on mine this morning!

I'd love to have a less expensive 'rebounder' part of it.

Just for lying down and using it as a trampoline type of effect.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

I have an AeroPilates Reformer and I absolutely love it and am glad I purchased it five years ago!
